ASEAN Dengue Day

Every year on June 15, “ASEAN Dengue Day” is observed in recognition of the number of patients and deaths caused by dengue disease. Southeast Asia has the highest number of patients. ASEAN’s ten member countries are Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, and Cambodia. As a result, the 22nd ASEAN Health Ministers Meeting in Singapore in July 2010 unanimously agreed to establish June 15 of each year as ASEAN Dengue Day. To raise awareness of disease prevention and problem-solving on ASEAN Dengue Day 2024, with the theme “Together Against Dengue: Building a Resilient ASEAN Community.” Thus, on “ASEAN Dengue Day,” let us protect our loved ones from mosquitos by participating in the campaign to clean up the environment so that it does not become a breeding ground for Aedes mosquitos; destroy mosquito larvae in containers once a week to break the cycle of mosquito reproduction, a major cause of dengue fever; and manage mosquitoes both inside and outside the house, including around the house, using “ARS” products.
